Kaleidoscope's classes offer a variety of new learning experiences each week!  Classes include:

Classes listed below are available January 3-May 19.

Tuitions noted below are for our Winter/Spring 2012 Semester Jan 24-May 21 with vacation dates Feb 15-21 and March 26-April 6. Tuition can be pro-rated to accomodate any starting date.

  EXPERIMENTING WITH SCIENCE                                                  Ages 3-6

Every day is a new adventure in learning by doing! There are hands-on materials for children to use to discover and learn! Topics as diverse as dissecting seeds and then watching them grow, examining fossils of dinosaur teeth and going on a classroom dinosaur dig, exploring physics through rolling balls and trucks, and the always popular chemistry experiments as we mix things up to create our own concoctions.         Tuition $360

In Hinsdale:  Mon 9-11am, Wed 12:45-2:45pm, Th 9-11am or Fri 12:45-2:45pm

In Western Springs: Tuesdays 12:45-2:45pm

READING & MATH PLAY   Ages 3-6

Children will develop reading readiness skills through playful activities designed to both stimulate interest and develop skills needed for reading. They will also play with math concepts. Fro example when we all build towers 3 blocks high and then 5 blocks high children will "see" that 5 is bigger than 3. It's a short step to learn 2 must be added to 3 to be equal to the tower of 5. Playful fun and learning are part of this class.   Tuition $355

CREATIVITY WORKSHOP Ages 3-6

Children are creative! We have paints, glue, clay, fingerpaints and more to create many arts and crafts. We also include cooking as we are "creative with decorating cookies or shaping bread dough." There's also a chance to be creative "on-stage" as we act! All are forms of being creative, and all are fun to explore!                                  Tuition $350

LUNCH HOUR FUN Ages 3-6

Before or after any class at Kaleidoscope, you can add a Lunch Hour Fun. Just bring along a peanut free lunch!  Tuition $170

EXPLORING ART Ages 5 & 6

For the child who especially enjoys creating - whether drawying, building, modeling or decorating - this program will give him/her the opportunity to explore art with new materials and guided instruction that will foster not only their creativity but their skill. Drawing, sculptures, mobiles, collages, cartooning are just some of the works to be explored.  Tuition $370

In Hinsdale Tues 9-11 or 1:15-3:15

KALEIDOSCOPE'S OUTDOOR SCHOOL    Ages 4-6

Kids will be kids as they connect with nature! We'll be outdoors at KLM Park in Hinsdale. There will be time for running, jumping, raking and digging, as well as quiet times on listening walks and watching the clouds. We'll study wildlife, observe the change in seasons and experiment with snow and puddles! Every day is a new adventure!  Tuition $180 for Jan 13-Feb 24 and $300 for March 2-May 18

I CAN READ for all who can read A CAT SAT ON A HAT

Once your preschooler or Kindergartner can read "A cat sat on a hat." s/he is ready for I CAN READ. In this class we'll continue to practice decoding skills, foster a desire to read, as well as to write. Children will be playing with words, making up stories and making books to read to you at home. I CAN READ will be a place where children share with other readers the special joy that comes with being a reader. Tuition $250/10 week session

KINDERGARTEN GIANT LEAP for Kindergartners

Kindergarten Giant Leap is designed to keep Kindergartner's minds stimulated with new learning activities! With an active pace - ready to challenge these young minds, we have new topics each week. They'll be involved in science experiments, art sculptures, problem solving as they work together to try their solutions to problems, and investigating foreign cultures as they "travel" to new places and learn some of the language and customs of each new land.  Tuition $365

LEARNING TO SPEAK SPANISH NATURALLY Ages 4-6

Whether this is your first Spanish class or you're nearly flues, you're sure to enjoy this class! We will do all the same fun learning activities that have made Kaleidoscope's programs so well loved. Children will be learning to speak Spanish while they are busy enjoying arts & crafts, science experiments, games, stories & music. While the teacher is speaking Spanish, the children will easily learn - naturally!   Tutition $375
